The Order Set Solution from Thomson Reuters is an evidence-based library
of standard Order Sets – now covering even more of the most frequent hospital
and emergency department diagnoses, procedures, and chief complaints. Also
included is the Knowledge Management Tool, a unique tool that allows administrators
to import homegrown order sets, edit Thomson Order Sets according to local
requirements, and export Order Sets for use in print form or for integration
with Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) systems.
The Order Set Solution gives hospitals:
- Evidence-based content reviewed by practicing clinicians
- Essential information to drive key performance measures
- Best practices suggestions in cases where evidence is lacking
- Automatic updates that keep institutions compliant with quality
measures from CMS, The Joint Commission, AHRQ, and others through built-in
reminders that communicate "must-do" interventions
- Grading of both the quality of evidence and strength of major clinical
recommendations when implementing evidence-based medical practices across
clinical disciplines
