As part of our ongoing efforts to facilitate simple and efficient mobile strategies for our customers, The Healthcare business of Thomson Reuters collects customer experience and feedback on many devices.

  • Compatibility is determined by the reliability of data presentation on the device. However, it may not include desired device performance.
    • Please be sure to check with your healthcare system's Information Technology support before purchasing a device to make sure the device is compatible with local communication protocols and policies.

Most Commonly Used Devices: Mobile Micromedex

Most Commonly Used Devices: mobileMicromedex 2.0

mobileMicromedex 2.0:

mobileMicromedex 2.0 is compatible with Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices. The device must have an active connection to the Internet via WiFi or mobile carrier.

  • Apple Safari Browser is the only browser supported by Apple devices.

mobileMicromedex 2.0 is also compatible with Blackberry devices. The device must have an active connection to the Internet via WiFi or mobile carrier.

For Clinical Xpert Navigator:


  • Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 or higher or Palm OS 4.5 and above (Palm OS 5.0 is recommended)
    • The use of a touch screen is required for Palm and Pocket PC devices
  • Able to perform TCP/IP networking using an integrated IrDA-compliant infrared transceiver or 802.11x wireless connection
  • Minimum 4 MB of free memory for Palm and Windows Mobile devices
    • Expansion-slot memory is supported
  • Blackberry: OS version 4.0 or higher**
    • Minimum 16 MB free memory
      • memory must be on the device, expansion-slot memory excluded
    • The use of a touch screen BlackBerry device is not supported at this time.

**Blackberry requires the use of a BES server. Please check with your local IT team before purchasing device.


For Clinical Xpert Navigator with Charge Capture:

  • Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 or higher or Palm OS 5.0 or higher
    • Minimum 6 MB free (10 in total)
  • Blackberry: OS version 4.0 or higher**
    • Minimum 6 MB free memory (22 in total)
      • Memory must be on the device, expansion-slot memory excluded
      • Increased memory may be required for customers with a large census or large amounts of patient data.
    • The use of a touch screen BlackBerry device is not supported at this time.

For Mobile Micromedex [Thomson Clinical Xpert mobile]:


  • Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 or higher or Palm OS 4.5 and above
    • (Palm OS 5.0 is recommended)
  • Minimum 25 MB of free RAM
    • Expansion-slot memory is supported
